State of Decay 3 Release Delayed to 2026: Latest Update

Reliable sources suggest a later-than-expected release for State of Decay 3. Xbox Two podcast host Jez Corden recently stated that the zombie action game from Undead Labs is now slated for an early 2026 launch, pushing back from a previously anticipated 2025 release.

While Corden assures fans that development is significantly further along than publicly perceived, no further specifics were offered. This news may disappoint some fans, although earlier speculation pointed towards a 2027 release date, making the 2026 prediction relatively more positive.

June's trailer showcased the game's post-apocalyptic setting, featuring Mad Max-style vehicle combat and intense gunfights against hordes of the undead. The storyline will focus on human settlements struggling for survival years after the initial apocalypse.

State of Decay 3 is in development for PC and Xbox Series consoles, a significant time after the last installment launched in 2018.
