Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Showdown and Community Concerns
Destiny 2 players are gearing up for a chilling choice in the upcoming Festival of the Lost 2025 event. Bungie has unveiled two competing armor sets, "Slashers" and "Spectres," inspired by iconic horror figures, allowing players to vote for their preferred aesthetic.
The "Slashers" set features Jason Voorhees-inspired Titan armor, Ghostface-themed Hunter armor, and a menacing Scarecrow Warlock set. The "Spectres" option offers a Babadook-inspired Titan set, La Llorona-themed Hunter armor, and, much to the delight of many, an official Slenderman Warlock set. Voting will determine which set graces the game when the event launches in October. Furthermore, Bungie announced the previously unreleased Wizard armor from the 2024 Festival of the Lost will be available during Episode Heresy.
A Haunted Season and Community Feedback
While the reveal of these exciting new armor sets generated considerable buzz, it also highlighted existing concerns within the Destiny 2 community. Episode Revenant has been plagued by bugs and performance issues, leading to declining player numbers and overall frustration. Problems with in-game mechanics, such as broken tonics, have further exacerbated these feelings. The community expressed surprise at the focus on an event ten months away, particularly given the current state of the game and the lack of direct acknowledgement of ongoing issues. Many players hoped for a more immediate response to the reported problems and declining engagement.
