How To Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To reach the cat island, you'll need to head to the Omi region, which becomes accessible around the midpoint of the game's narrative. Ensure your characters are well-equipped and ready for new challenges before setting out northeast towards Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a significant body of water central to the Omi region. To reach the island, it's highly recommended to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, if you're up for an adventure, you can swim across the lake.

Aim for the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Upon reaching it, you'll discover Okishima Island, complete with a Kakurega for resting. The abundance of fish being dried near the docks suggests a plentiful food source for a certain type of animal.

To immerse yourself among the cats on Okishima Island, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't miss the opportunity to pet them, especially the rare kittens, which can be added to your collection for use in your Hideout.

While most Leaps of Faith unlock new locations on your map, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these feline friends. After exploring and taking the Leap of Faith into the haystack, there's little left to do but enjoy the company of the cats. You'll also revisit Okishima later in Yasuke's storyline, adding another layer of anticipation.
