For all you fishing aficionados just dying to experience the sanity-shredding isolation of the deep sea, the wait is finally over. The hotly-anticipated eldritch fishing simulator, Dredge, is set to arrive on mobile devices on February 27th, after experiencing several shifts in its release date.
In Dredge, you step into the boots of a nameless fisherman navigating the mysterious waters around a desolate island chain. Your primary task is to catch fish and sell them to the island's inhabitants. However, the game's depth extends beyond mere fishing; you'll need to manage your sanity, upgrade and maintain your boat, and delve into the eerie secrets shrouded by the archipelago's fog, especially at night.
As previously reported, Dredge's mobile version faced delays, with the latest postponement pushing the release to February 2025. Now, with the new release date almost upon us, the iOS App Store listing has been updated, though the Android Google Play listing is yet to go live.
Oh I do love to be beside the seasideBeyond the casual joy of fishing, Dredge offers a rich upgrade system and a deep dive into Lovecraftian horror. While there's no word yet on the availability of DLC for the mobile version, the main game already features several expansions that broaden the archipelago's mysteries.
With its low-poly yet engaging visual style, Dredge is poised to become a favorite among mobile gamers. If this marks the final release date, many of you are likely eager to finally embark on this chilling adventure.
