Dune: Awakening is accelerating toward its official launch with a major beta weekend on the horizon. On April 25, Funcom announced on its official website a dedicated weekend for the game's global beta. The reveal was accompanied by a fresh trailer showcasing cinematic cutscenes and snippets of the game's narrative.

The post clarifies that this beta will welcome a vast number of new participants and, unlike earlier closed beta phases, will not be bound by an NDA. That means players are free to share their gameplay experiences and even broadcast them live. According to the announcement, "With access to the first 20 hours of gameplay and most of Act 1, you'll get a front-row seat to both the story and the spice."

To join the beta, players can wishlist the game and request access via the Dune: Awakening Steam page. Alternatively, beta codes will be distributed during the game's global livestream on May 10. More beta-related news will be shared in the near future.

Global LAN Party Scheduled for May 10

Throughout the event, hosts will virtually travel to different global locations to check in with players. Lead developers will join the stream to discuss the game, while popular content creators face off in a thrilling in-game competition.

What's more, tens of thousands of beta keys will be dropped during the stream, granting instant access to the beta weekend. A few days prior, the developers will hold their third livestream, this time focusing on the game's base-building features.
