The buzz around Denis Villeneuve's successful films has heightened anticipation for the upcoming survival MMO, *Dune: Awakening*. Fans won't have to wait much longer, as developer Funcom has officially announced that the PC version will launch on May 20. While console players will have to wait a bit longer, everyone can get a glimpse of what's to come through the latest gameplay trailer.
What does the trailer showcase? A vast, immersive desert landscape, intricate base-building mechanics, thrilling combat sequences, and, of course, the iconic sandworms—everything you'd expect and hope for in a game set in the *Dune* universe.
In *Dune: Awakening*, players step into the shoes of a prisoner exiled to the harsh world of Arrakis. The narrative begins with an escape from captivity, thrusting the protagonist into a perilous journey to unravel the mystery surrounding the vanished Fremen.
To prepare PC players for the big launch, Funcom has already released a benchmark tool and a character creator. These tools enable players to optimize their game settings and craft their characters ahead of time, ensuring a smoother experience when *Dune: Awakening* officially hits the market.
