Fuecoco Shines in Pokemon GO March Community Day

Get ready for an exciting start to the Pokémon GO Community Day in March 2025, featuring Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon. Dive in to discover everything you need to know about this event, the upcoming Community Days, and the Timed Research rewards for the Beloved Buddies event.

Fuecoco Takes Center Stage in March’s First Community Day

Pokémon GO has announced that Fuecoco will be the star of the first Community Day event on March 8, 2025. From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, you'll have the chance to encounter Fuecoco more frequently on the map. What's more, the Shiny rate for Fuecoco will be boosted during the event, so keep your eyes peeled!

Evolving Fuecoco into Skeledirge (through its intermediate evolution Crocalor) during or within a week after the event will allow it to learn the powerful Charged Attack, Blast Burn. Skeledirge can also learn Torch Song, a Charged Attack with no time restrictions on learning.

Don't miss out on the Special Background Timed Research, which rewards you with a Fuecoco encounter featuring a Seasonal Special Background. Completing these tasks will further increase your chances of encountering Shiny Fuecoco, and you have until March 15, 2025, at 10:00 pm local time to finish them.

For a small fee of $2.00, you can also access the exclusive Community Day Special Research. This includes the usual rewards like Battle Pass and Rare Candies, plus three encounters with Fuecoco, all sporting a Seasonal Special Background. You can even purchase and gift this ticket to a friend who's at least at the Great Friends level.

Upcoming Community Day Dates for March and Beyond

Alongside the Fuecoco announcement, Pokémon GO has revealed the dates for Community Day events from March to May. Mark your calendars for these exciting weekends:

Community Day Classic events bring back beloved Pokémon from past Community Days, like Ralts, which was originally featured in August 2019 and revisited in January 2025. New Pokémon will headline the other dates, but details on these are yet to be disclosed.

Pokémon GO Beloved Buddies Event: Choose Your Path

The Beloved Buddies event, launching on February 11, 2025, introduces Dhelmise and comes with a Timed Research that offers two distinct paths: one with Candela, the Team Valor leader, and another with Arlo, a Team GO Rocket leader.

Starting with common tasks that reward you with Ultra Balls and encounters with Remoraid and Mantine, you'll then choose between strengthening your bond with your Buddy and Candela, or focusing on catching Pokémon and battling Arlo.

The Candela path rewards you with Poffins, Stardust, and Ultra Balls, along with encounters with Luvdisc, Shellder, and Rapidash. On the other hand, the Arlo path offers similar item rewards plus a Pocket Radar, and encounters with Cubone, Slowpoke, and Scizor.
