After months of speculation and leaks, the veil has finally been lifted on Pokémon Champions, a thrilling new multiplayer battle-centric game developed through a collaboration between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works—a recent partnership between The Pokémon Company and ILCA, the developers behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
Pokémon Champions zeroes in on the heart of the franchise: Pokémon battles. The game promises to deliver the beloved "core-style battles" of the series, allowing players to engage in online battles against one another. From the trailer, it's clear that the game will incorporate iconic mechanics such as Mega Evolution and Terastalization, embracing a wide array of Pokémon from various generations and eras.
One of the most exciting features of *Pokémon Champions* is its integration with Pokémon Home. This connectivity allows players to transfer Pokémon from other games into *Pokémon Champions*, giving fans a new way to utilize the Pokémon they've collected over the years that have been sitting idly in their boxes.Currently in development for both Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, Pokémon Champions did not receive a release date during the announcement. However, it will support Latin American Spanish at launch, along with other languages previously available in Pokémon games.

It's worth noting that Pokémon Champions appears to be the evolved version of Pokémon Synapse, which was initially leaked during the "Freak Leak" last year. This leak exposed a wealth of internal Game Freak information, including unreleased games and various Pokémon designs. At the time, Pokémon Synapse was rumored to be a multiplayer game, with some drawing comparisons to Splatoon, though it seems those comparisons may not hold up entirely.
