Genshin Impact Version 5.4: Introducing Yumemizuki Mizuki, a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst
Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo character hailing from Inazuma, is set to debut in Genshin Impact's Version 5.4. Following the conclusion of the Natlan storyline in Version 5.3, this update offers a smaller, Inazuma-focused adventure. The flagship event will center around yokai, with Yae Miko playing a prominent role.
Mizuki's arrival as a playable character has been anticipated since late 2024, with leaks suggesting she would become Inazuma's first Standard Banner character. Version 5.4 beta testing confirmed this, revealing her abilities and intended role. As a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst, she functions similarly to Sucrose, but with added healing capabilities. While Sucrose might excel in certain situations, Mizuki's versatility makes her a valuable asset in many Taser teams.
Mizuki's official reveal on the Genshin Impact Twitter account, slightly later than initially expected, further showcases the unpredictable nature of recent drip marketing. While her identity as a tapir yokai was known, the marketing campaign also unveiled her profession as a psychologist and majority owner of the Aisa Bathhouse. Her friendship with Yae Miko strongly suggests her introduction will coincide with the flagship event. A dedicated Story Quest for Mizuki is also planned for Version 5.4.
Yumemizuki Mizuki Details:
- Title: Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
- Rarity: 5-Star
- Vision: Anemo
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Constellation: Tapirus Somniator
Version 5.4's Event Banners will feature Mizuki and Wriothesley in the first half, followed by Furina and Sigewinne in the second. Remember, Mizuki will join the Standard Banner after Version 5.4, so collection-focused players should prioritize obtaining her signature weapon.
Compared to the content-rich Version 5.3, Version 5.4 is significantly smaller in scale. It will only include one new character, one Story Quest, no new Artifact Domain, and no map expansion. Consequently, the Primogem rewards will be lower than average. Unless Version 5.3's Chronicled Banner offers a particularly appealing character, players are advised to save their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, especially if they aim to acquire Fontaine characters like Furina or Wriothesley.
