Take-Two Interactive Looks To Have One Of Its Strongest Years
GTA 6 Release Window Still On Fall 2025
The much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 remains firmly on track for a Fall 2025 release. During their Q3 Earnings Conference Call on February 7, 2025, Take-Two Interactive shared insights into their current status and the exciting developments and releases slated for this year.
Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, expressed unwavering confidence in the Fall 2025 release for GTA 6. However, he acknowledged the inherent uncertainties of game development, noting, "Look, there's always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things." Despite this, Zelnick conveyed optimism, stating, "We feel really good about it," regarding the anticipated release window. He refrained from sharing specifics about the development of GTA 6, emphasizing Rockstar's pursuit of perfection. "We know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claim success before it occurs. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited."
Take-Two Interactive Game Releases In 2025
Zelnick highlighted the monumental year ahead for Take-Two Interactive, buoyed by a robust lineup of game releases. "Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as Sid Meier’s Civilization VII launched in Early Access today, with the official launch on February 11th, and we also plan to release Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4 before year-end," he announced.
Regarding the commercial prospects of their upcoming titles, Zelnick expressed high optimism, stating, "We are exceedingly optimistic about the commercial potential of our titles and believe that they will have a transformative effect on our business – and our industry – over the long term." Take-Two Interactive is also looking forward to achieving record levels of Net Bookings in Fiscal 2026 and 2027.

GTA 5 Actor Does Not Hate His Character
Rumors have circulated that Steven Ogg, the actor behind Trevor in GTA 5, dislikes his association with the character. However, Ogg dispelled these rumors during an interview on the Inside You podcast. He clarified, "When people call you by your character name, it's kinda weird because I kinda get it, but I'm also like meh." Ogg affirmed his appreciation for Trevor, stating, "He's a great character. He's awesome. I still see [Fonteno, Franklin's actor] and Ned [Luke, Michael's actor], we're friends. We were just doing a Comic Con this past weekend."
In a previous interview with Screen Rant, Ogg suggested the idea of Trevor making a brief appearance in GTA 6 only to be killed off early in the game. However, he confirmed that he has not recorded any lines for GTA 6 and remains unaware of whether Trevor will return in the series.
