As highlighted in their recent Twitter (X) post, Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. Supergiant Games celebrated this milestone by expressing gratitude to their fans and indicating that they are making significant strides towards the game's full release.

Their post states, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

The original Hades also followed a similar early access route, taking 22 months to reach its full release. However, Supergiant Games aims to bring Hades 2 to full release more swiftly, with an initial time-exclusive launch planned for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

In a recent episode of Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video series, Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 set to launch on June 5, fans can anticipate Hades 2 to be available around that time at the earliest.

Hades 2, as the eagerly awaited sequel to the beloved rogue-like game, marks Supergiant Games' first venture into creating a sequel. The developers have shared that working on sequels involves "a great deal of fear and respect."
