The upcoming HBO series adaptation of Harry Potter has found its Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Molly Weasley, and several other pivotal characters.
Katherine Parkinson, acclaimed for her role in The IT Crowd, will take on the role of Molly Weasley—the loving mother of Ron Weasley and the heart of the Weasley family, a part previously brought to life by Julie Walters in the film series.
Newcomer Lox Pratt has been cast as Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's blonde Slytherin rival and consistent antagonist throughout their Hogwarts years. Meanwhile, actor Johnny Flynn will portray Draco's cunning father, Lucius Malfoy.
Additional casting announcements include several newcomers playing fellow Hogwarts students: Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.
This follows earlier casting news revealed today, confirming Bertie Carvel of The Crown as Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, with Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby set to play Harry's aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

With production scheduled to begin soon, most of the central roles have now been filled. This includes the three newcomers playing the iconic trio: Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
The series began its casting announcements with veteran actor John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore. Subsequent updates confirmed Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.
