"Helping Miners in KCD 2: Post Scriptum Guide"

Author : Eleanor Update:Mar 29,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the Post Scriptum quest presents players with significant choices that can impact the storyline and rewards. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate this quest effectively.

How to Start Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To initiate the Post Scriptum quest, make your way to the Kuttenberg region. Locate the tavern just west of Kuttenberg city along the road and engage with the NPC named Kvyertsolav. This interaction will kickstart the quest, which involves assisting the miners by writing a letter.

Write the Letter

Head to the designated house in Kuttenberg to assist Kvyertsolav with the letter. Upon entering, select the dialogue option, "Justice is worth more than silver." You'll have the flexibility to refine the letter's content, leave it as is, or make it more aggressive and concise. Regardless of your choice, the miners will attempt to kill you after the letter is written. Successfully passing a Speech check can save you and persuade the miners to spare your life.

Should You Turn the Miners Over to the Bailiff?

If you manage to survive the miners' attack, you'll face the decision of whether to turn them over to the bailiff. Opting for this choice will conclude the quest immediately, rewarding you with 100 groschen. However, this isn't the most rewarding or satisfying outcome, so it's advisable to proceed with the letter to Markold instead.

Should You Help Markold or the Miners?

Your next step involves meeting the shaft owner. After speaking with the bodyguard at the house, you'll be allowed upstairs to deliver the letter to Markold. Here, you have three options: blackmail Markold, hand over the letter, or collaborate with Markold to eliminate the miners. Blackmailing him is not recommended due to the challenging Speech check and immediate quest conclusion.

Choosing to assist Markold requires you to kill three miners, yielding a mere 60 groschen, which is the least favorable outcome. Instead, it's recommended to side with the miners. Deliver the letter to Markold as planned, and he'll give you seven groschen, directing you to meet some miners just north of the city.

Proceed to the specified location, wait for the miners, and head to their camp to speak with Myslibor. When Markold arrives to attack, join forces with the miners to defeat him. Successfully completing this task will earn you 160 groschen from Myslibor and contribute to improving the miners' working conditions.

In conclusion, helping the miners during the Post Scriptum quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 not only yields the best rewards but also aligns with a more morally satisfying outcome.
