Mastering the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This guide unravels the secrets of the Fountain of Confession puzzle within the Vatican City section of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, a crucial step in uncovering the mystery of the giants. Remember to photograph all inscriptions and imagery for Adventure Points!

After escaping the Vatican's underground in the Sacred Wounds mission, Indy uses his scroll to locate the Fountain of Confession. Exit Antonio's office (as in the Sacred Wounds mission) and use your journal's map to find the courtyard stairs leading to the puzzle's starting point.

First, retrieve the fountain key from the chest near the construction area (to the fountain's right). This unlocks the adjacent storage room.

Use your whip to rappel to the rooftop, then swing to the window overlooking the fountain. You'll see two dragon statues. Swing to the second statue and use its claw to activate a lever.

Manipulate the lever to rotate the statue, making it face the opposite dragon. Repeat this for the first statue, noting its missing claw.

The missing claw is on the scaffolding below. Rappelling down triggers a cutscene with Gina Lombardi, who assists you afterward. Retrieve the claw.

Return to the statue, attach the claw, and rotate it to face its counterpart. This rotates the ground-level fountain statue, revealing the next phase.

Now, use your whip to pull the fountain statue, revealing a gate blocked by three statues. A lever appears; Indy and Gina activate it together, presenting the first wall puzzle.

The first puzzle depicts a baptism. Position the larger male statue under the water bucket, activate the water mechanism, and push the statue to "baptize" the smaller one. This moves a gate statue.

Reactivate the lever for the second puzzle, involving moving stone layers to guide an angel figure. Use the handles to move the angel to the right, freeing the final gate statue.

Finally, push the remaining central statue through the gate, activating a spiral staircase and progressing the game.
