After a short delay from its initial June launch window, Jetpack Joyride Racing is finally ready to go. Halfbrick Studios has announced that the multiplayer racer will release worldwide in mid-November, bringing high-speed action to the Jetpack Joyride universe while launching the innovative Halfbrick+ Cards system.
Halfbrick is taking Barry Steakfries and his friends from the lab to the racetrack, swapping jetpacks for drifts and boosts. The game keeps the studio's trademark humor and high energy, with up to six players competing in real-time across tracks that weave through classic locations like Legitimate Research and the Minertaur Labyrinth.
Every course is packed with hidden surprises and dangers to keep each lap unpredictable. Racing relies on skill and timing: each drift builds your boost, every boost can turn the race, and special zones like Charge, Cutout, and Slow add strategic elements to the mayhem. Players can choose from Barry, Dan, Josie, or Professor Brains, and customize their rides and trails as they rise through the ranks. Halfbrick even refined the game's physics with insights from project lead Adam Wood's real karting experience, adding genuine handling beneath the cartoon-style chaos.
A major new feature is the Halfbrick+ Cards system, which links rewards across the studio’s games, including Fruit Ninja and Dan the Man. You’ll collect card packs after races, unlocking upgrades and cosmetics that sync via the Halfbrick+ app. It’s an exciting approach that ties the Halfbrick universe together.
Plus, a three-episode mini-series starring the project lead will launch just before the game. Once you’ve watched it, be ready—Jetpack Joyride Racing arrives on iOS and Android on November 13th.
