The popular 2D platformer game, Jump King, has now soft-launched on Android, following its initial release on PC back in 2019. Developed by Nexile and published on Android by UKIYO, the game has been free to play in select regions during its soft launch phase, which includes the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark. Players in other regions can look forward to the game's global release soon.
Jump King challenges players to master the art of jumping with a clear goal in mind: reach the top where the Smoking Hot Babe awaits. It's a game where precision is key; there are no mid-air corrections or safety nets. You hold to charge your jump, release to leap, and must land exactly where you intended. The stakes are high, as falling means tumbling back down, possibly losing hours of progress in a single misstep. With 20 hearts to start, each fall costs you one, and running out means waiting for a daily fortune wheel to replenish your hearts or opting to purchase more.
Jump King isn't just about the base game. It also includes two free expansions for mobile players: New Babe+ and Ghost of the Babe. New Babe+ offers a familiar yet different world, testing your mastery over the jump. Meanwhile, Ghost of the Babe transports you to a desolate landscape beyond Philosopher’s Forest, where you might even question the purpose of your climb. It's a cycle of leaping, falling, cursing, and trying again that encapsulates the essence of Jump King.
