Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the “Canker” side quest becomes available after completing “The Jaunt.” This quest offers a chance to acquire a mace and some extra Groschen. Here's how to complete it.

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest
Find and Kill Canker
Canker's camp is nestled within the mountains, easily missed due to a narrow passage. Similar to accessing the Hermit’s house in “Wedding Crashers,” prepare for a fight before entering, as you’ll face Canker and several other bandits. Some bandits might flee depending on the order you eliminate them, but thorough combat is advised to ensure the quest's completion. Canker himself will not flee, making the final confrontation straightforward.
Finish the Quest and Return to Gules
After defeating Canker and his gang, loot his body. You must acquire the Light Mace, though other items are also available for the taking. Once you have the mace, return to Gules to complete the quest.
Following the completion of “Canker,” wait a full in-game day before initiating the next quest in the series, “Handsome Charlie.” Speak with Gules again once the day has passed to proceed.
