Warhorse Studios has released a major free update, version 1.2, for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, boasting two significant additions: native Steam Workshop mod integration and a brand-new barber shop system.
Steam Workshop integration streamlines mod installation, eliminating the need for third-party sites. However, availability depends on mod creator uploads; currently, only a few mods are live, including: "Free Saving" (unlimited saves via replenishing "Saviour Schnapps"), "Helmet of Henry VIII" (a historically-inspired horned helmet), "Tourist" (disables NPC trespassing reactions), and "Pebbles the Zebra" (transforms your horse). While initially limited, the expectation is a rapid influx of mods from the existing Nexus Mods community (over 1000 mods already available). While Steam Workshop may not match Nexus Mods' scale, popular mods are sure to follow.

Complementing the mod support, players can now customize their appearance at barber shops in Rattay and Kuttenberg, altering hairstyles and beards. Each visit temporarily boosts the protagonist's Charisma.
Update 1.2 extends far beyond these features. The official website changelog details over a thousand bug fixes and improvements across the game, encompassing balance adjustments, refined animations, improved NPC behavior (including a more accurate crime system), revised and more realistic NPC daily schedules, enhanced horse riding and trading mechanics, and improved character visuals and performance, especially noticeable in Kuttenberg and large battles. A developer livestream next Thursday will further detail these changes.
Warhorse Studios' commitment to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues with three planned paid DLC expansions slated for Spring, Summer, and Winter releases. With Steam Workshop integration, new cosmetic options, and extensive gameplay refinements, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II offers players an even more immersive medieval experience.
