Tomb Raider: Guardian of Light Launches Android Demo

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light has released a new mobile update—Try Before You Buy—available on Android and iOS, letting players experience the game for free. The title originally launched on mobile in February.

What's included in the Try Before You Buy version of Lara Croft: Guardian of Light?

Feral Interactive's newest update allows you to play the first two levels of this isometric action-platformer. Set deep in the Mexican jungle, you can replay these two stages as often as you wish.

During these levels, you’ll face undead foes, evade ancient traps, and tackle environmental puzzles—all in an effort to stop Xolotl, the Aztec god of darkness, from shrouding the world in endless night.

You can unlock the full version with a one-time in-app purchase of $9.99, which includes levels 3 through 14 plus twelve additional bonus levels.

All progress and scores from the trial transfer to the full game, and you can revisit earlier stages to find collectibles and improve your high scores. The game also lets you upgrade gear and relics that influence Lara’s combat abilities.

Help Lara navigate deadly traps

The title blends action with environmental challenges—swinging across chasms, navigating temples, surviving swamp ruins, and exploring volcanic caves. Lara’s iconic dual pistols and a twin-stick control scheme keep the action fluid.

The mobile version offers fully customizable touch controls and gamepad support. Online co-op is also included in the trial, so you can join a friend. Download it now from the Google Play Store.
