Lazarus stands out as a groundbreaking sci-fi anime, masterfully directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, renowned for his work on Cowboy Bebop. Despite this connection, critic Ryan Guar emphasizes that Lazarus is a unique venture, not a revival of Watanabe's previous work. The animation is a collaboration between Mappa Studio, known for hits like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, and Sola Entertainment, creators of Tower of God. Adding to its allure, action sequences are designed by Chad Stahelski, the visionary behind the John Wick franchise.
Given the buzz and intrigue surrounding Lazarus, it's no surprise that Adult Swim has secured the rights to air new episodes simultaneously in the U.S. and Japan. If you're eager to catch the latest episodes of this thrilling series, here's how you can watch Lazarus online.
Where to Stream Lazarus
Lazarus

New episodes of Lazarus are available to stream on Max, diverging from typical platforms like Crunchyroll or Netflix. What Is Lazarus About?
Lazarus breaks the mold by being a completely original anime, not adapted from any manga. Here’s the official plot synopsis from the Lazarus website:
The year is 2052 - an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity prevails across the globe. The reason for this: mankind has been freed from sickness and pain. Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner has developed a miracle cure-all drug with no apparent drawbacks called Hapuna.
Three years later, the world has moved on. But Dr. Skinner has returned - this time, as a harbinger of doom. Skinner announces that Hapuna has a short half-life. Everyone who has taken it will die approximately three years later. Death is coming for this sinful world - and coming soon.
As a response to this threat, a special task force of 5 agents is gathered from across the world to save humanity from Skinner's plan. This group is called "Lazarus." Can they find Skinner and develop a vaccine before time runs out?
