The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have a potential shortcut: Legacy XP Tokens. Here's how to utilize them.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens in Black Ops 6. These were quickly used to accelerate XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a November 15th patch addressed a bug that allowed these tokens to be activated within the Black Ops 6 interface.
These Legacy XP Tokens are leftover, unused tokens carried over from previous CoD titles like Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone, accessible via the COD HQ app. These games offered various ways to earn them, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. Any tokens acquired in these games remain usable in Warzone. Here's how to apply them to Black Ops 6.

Using Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Initially, Season 01 allowed players to activate Warzone Legacy XP tokens directly within Black Ops 6. This functionality was temporarily removed. However, a workaround existed.
The solution was to activate the Legacy XP Tokens in Warzone. Upon returning to Black Ops 6, the token and its timer would appear in the game's UI. While this method required switching between games and XP tokens counted down in real-time, it provided a significant XP boost in Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
