LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, set to hit the market on May 1, 2025. These releases are perfectly timed to coincide with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day, a date LEGO traditionally marks with the unveiling of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, the spotlight shines on Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time fans. The name shift to Firespray, prompted by Disney in 2021 and confirmed by LEGO, appears to be a permanent change, reflecting a sensitivity to the term 'slave' in branding.

This new rendition of Jango Fett's iconic starship is a significant upgrade from its last large-scale release in 2019. That set, celebrating the 20th anniversary, included 1007 pieces and was modeled after its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The 2025 version, inspired by Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, boasts an impressive 2970 pieces, making it nearly three times larger than its predecessor. This model measures 7.5 inches in height, 17.5 inches in length, and 15.5 inches in width, promising a detailed and expansive build.
