At today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo officially unveiled the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2, set to hit the shelves on June 5, 2025. This next-generation console will be priced at $449.99. For those looking for a bit more value, a special bundle featuring Mario Kart World will be available for $499.99, offering a fantastic deal for fans of the iconic racing series.
For those who prefer to buy Mario Kart World separately, it will be available at a recommended retail price of $79.99. This marks a significant investment for fans, considering the game's popularity and the price point.
Nintendo has historically maintained a $60 price cap for most of its first-party titles on the original Switch, with the exception of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which was priced at $70. Interestingly, the newly announced Donkey Kong Bananza will also carry a $70 price tag, indicating a shift in pricing strategy for some of their premium titles.
