Marvel Rivals developers know about fps pay-to-win bug, fix incoming

Author : Zoe Update:Jan 25,2025

Marvel Rivals launched strongly, boasting hundreds of thousands of concurrent Steam players, while simultaneously impacting Overwatch 2's player base. However, a significant and frustrating bug has emerged.

We previously reported on a performance issue affecting low-end PCs. Specifically, at low frame rates, certain heroes exhibit reduced movement speed and decreased damage output. The developers have acknowledged this bug and are actively working on a resolution.

Unfortunately, a complete fix is proving challenging. Therefore, Marvel Rivals Season 1 will likely see a temporary patch focusing on improved movement mechanics. Resolving the damage reduction issue will require more time, with no definitive timeline currently available.

Our recommendation remains: prioritize maximum frame rate over graphical fidelity in Marvel Rivals. This will mitigate the performance disadvantage caused by the bug.
