Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Launch Featuring the Fantastic Four

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is a direct result of the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified release.

This supersized season will include:

  • Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations: the Sanctum Sanctorum (launching with Season 1 and featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with the Season 1 launch. The Thing and Human Torch will join the fray in a significant mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The decision to release the Fantastic Four together, according to Creative Director Guangyun Chen, led to the creation of a season with twice the usual playable content. While the impact on future season content remains unclear, the current plan is to continue adding two heroes or villains per season.

While the absence of Blade in Season 1 has disappointed some fans, the sheer volume of new content and the potential for future additions keeps the excitement high. The anticipation for what NetEase Games has in store for Marvel Rivals continues to grow.
