Marvel Snap Launches Global Golden Gauntlet Championship

Second Dinner is upping the ante with a massive new offering for its community: a global tournament circuit! Marvel Snap has unveiled the Golden Gauntlet World Championship Series. This inclusive, community-driven event is designed to be accessible to all players.

Marvel Snap's Golden Gauntlet World Championship Begins August 9, 2025

The tournament series has no rank restrictions or collection level prerequisites. Simply register, join, and compete. The inaugural qualifier, Golden Gauntlet Open 1, launches on August 9th, geared toward participants in the APAC region and Western United States. It starts at 5 PM PST and will be limited to 1,024 competitors.

The competition format consists of six Swiss rounds, culminating in a Top 16 single-elimination playoff. Any player finishing with a record of 5-1 or better guarantees themselves a place at the Golden Gauntlet Worlds finals later this year. Registration for this first event opens on July 31st.

Two additional Opens will follow in September and October. Golden Gauntlet Open 2 will primarily serve players across the Americas, while Open 3 will cater to the EU and Eastern US regions. Marvel Snap will announce the specific dates and registration timelines for these upcoming events soon via the official Discord server.

The Path Culminates in a Grand Finale

The championship event, known as the Golden Gauntlet Worlds, is set for November 8, 2025. More than 300 qualified players from the Opens will compete across nine Swiss rounds, after which the top 16 will advance to the playoffs. Mirroring the qualifiers, top finishers will earn prizes.

The entire series will be broadcast live on the game's official Twitch and YouTube channels. Furthermore, this initiative is fully online, free to enter, and crafted for the community. There are no hidden fees or exclusive invitations. It will be exciting to see how this ambitious series unfolds!
