Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will once again be a featured mobile esports title at the Esports World Cup 2025. Following the success of the 2024 competition, Moonton's popular mobile game joins Garena's Free Fire in confirming its return.
The 2024 Esports World Cup hosted two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events: the MLBB Mid Season Cup and the MLBB Women's Invitational. Teams from around the globe competed in Riyadh, with Selangor Red Giants winning the MSC and Smart Omega Empress defeating Team Vitality (holders of a 25-game win streak since 2021) in the Women's Invitational.
A Strong Showing, But Is It Enough?
Most games from the 2024 Esports World Cup are returning in 2025. However, many of these games are represented by smaller, mid-season tournaments rather than their main championship events. This could be viewed positively, as it avoids overshadowing existing leagues. Conversely, it might also be seen as relegating the Esports World Cup to a secondary event.
Regardless of perspective, fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and other returning titles will be pleased. For those inspired to try MLBB, check out our Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tier list to discover the top-tier characters!
