DC Studios' head, James Gunn, has officially announced that Peacemaker Season 2 will premiere on Max on August 21. Alongside this exciting news, Gunn shared a brief snippet of new footage featuring John Cena in character, smirking amidst a blazing fire, with a voice-over declaring him as "a superhero now."

In a tweet, Gunn expressed his enthusiasm, stating that the Season 2 premiere is "one of my favorite things ever." This announcement comes hot on the heels of the July 11 release of the much-anticipated Superman film, marking the grand launch of Gunn's rebooted DCU. Peacemaker Season 2 will be the third installment in this new universe, following last year's Creature Commandos TV series and the upcoming Superman movie.
