Finnish game developer Supercell has surprised fans with a twist on their recently cancelled RPG, Clash Heroes. Instead of abandoning the project entirely, they're relaunching it as Project R.I.S.E., a multiplayer action RPG roguelite.
The Details:
Clash Heroes is officially cancelled. However, Supercell is giving it a new life as Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe. Game lead Julien Le Cadre confirmed the news, highlighting the shift to a multiplayer focus.

Project R.I.S.E. will be a significantly different game from its predecessor. It's being built from the ground up, emphasizing cooperative gameplay. Players will team up in groups of three to ascend The Tower, a mysterious location with randomly generated floors. The focus is on teamwork and strategic character selection, rather than solo PvE dungeon crawling.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
