Crunchyroll's Newest Game: PictoQuest – A Retro Puzzle RPG
Anime streaming service Crunchyroll has released a new puzzle RPG, PictoQuest, exclusively for Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan subscribers on Android. This charming game boasts a retro aesthetic and a unique blend of Picross puzzles and RPG elements.
The Quest for Lost Paintings:
In the whimsical world of Pictoria, legendary paintings have vanished. Players must embark on a quest to recover them, battling enemies, solving Picross-style puzzles, and ultimately confronting the mischievous wizard, Moonface.
Picross Meets RPG:
PictoQuest utilizes a Picross-style gameplay mechanic. Players are presented with grids containing numbered clues that guide the creation of images. However, the game adds an RPG twist: enemies attack while puzzles are being solved, and health points function as a time limit. Players can purchase healing potions and power-ups in the in-game shop using earned gold.
The game features a world map with villagers offering special missions.
