Pokémon Day, celebrated on February 27th, brought a flurry of exciting announcements during a special Pokémon Presents stream. Highlights included updates on Pokémon Legends: Arceus, teasers for Pokémon Concierge, and—most excitingly—the reveal of Pokémon Champions, a new competitive battle simulator.
Developed by The Pokémon Company’s Pokémon Works in collaboration with Game Freak, Pokémon Champions focuses purely on competitive battling. Forget catching Pokémon, traversing tall grass, or collecting Gym Badges; this game is all about high-stakes battles.
What We Know About Pokémon Champions
Pokémon Champions is a multiplayer experience with cross-platform play on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. While specific game modes remain undisclosed, multiple options are promised.
A key feature is its integration with Pokémon Home, allowing players to import cherished Pokémon from previous games. However, not all Pokémon will be available at launch; only a select roster will be initially playable.
