The Pokémon Trading Card Game (PTCGO) Space Time Smackdown expansion, released January 30th, features a Weavile ex card depicting a scene that has sparked outrage among players. Specifically, the 2-Star full art card shows a group of Weavile poised to attack a defenseless Swinub.
This brutal depiction has generated significant online discussion, with Reddit users expressing concern and dismay. One post, garnering nearly 10,000 upvotes, simply reads: "NO ! SWINUB LOOK UP !! LOOK UP !!" Comments include pleas to "Leave the lil guy alone" and observations on the often-violent nature of Pokémon ecology.

However, some fans offer a glimmer of hope, pointing to the Mamoswine full art card (Swinub's evolution) which shows Mamoswine protectively looking upward, seemingly aware of the Weavile's presence. This has led to hopeful interpretations that Mamoswine intervened, providing a happier ending to the story.

The Space Time Smackdown set, themed around Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, includes 207 cards (fewer than Genetic Apex's 286, but with a higher percentage of rare alternate art cards). The set features popular Pokémon like Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, alongside Weavile and Mamoswine.
Despite the controversy surrounding the Weavile card and a recent trading update, Creatures Inc. has yet to publicly address the concerns. While a "Trade Feature Celebration Gift" was provided, including 500 Trade Tokens and 120 Trade Hourglasses, the developer remains silent on fan complaints.
