The Pokémon Sleep development and operation were previously a collaborative effort between Select Button Co., Ltd. and The Pokémon Company, Ltd. However, this will shift gradually to Pokémon Works. The impact on the global version of the app remains unconfirmed, as the announcement hasn't yet appeared in the global News section.

Pokémon Works: A New Chapter in Pokémon Development

Pokémon Works, a relatively new subsidiary formed from The Pokémon Company and Iruka Co., Ltd., is taking the reins. Their location in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is shared with ILCA, known for its work on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and co-development of Pokémon HOME. Representative Director Takuya Iwasaki stated that Pokémon Works also contributed to Pokémon HOME's development. While their past Pokémon-related projects are limited, the company aims to enhance the Pokémon experience, making interactions with Pokémon more immersive and enjoyable. The specific implementation of this vision within Pokémon Sleep remains to be seen.
