Adventure Week 2024 Returns to Pokémon GO with Mega Rewards

The Adventure Week event makes its exciting return to Pokémon GO in 2024, offering a wealth of valuable in-game rewards. With July's events concluded, trainers have plenty of thrilling activities to anticipate.

What’s In Store?

Adventure Week begins on Friday, August 2nd, at 10:00 AM local time and continues until Monday, August 12th. This event shines a spotlight on Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon. Expect numerous chances to catch these resilient ancient creatures in the wild, hatch them from 7 km Eggs, and encounter them by completing special Field Research tasks.

A major highlight this year is an improved opportunity to find Shiny Pokémon such as Aerodactyl. Other Rock-types like Diglett and Bunnelby will also appear more frequently in the wild. With a bit of luck, you might even discover a rare Aerodactyl during your explorations.

The 7 km Eggs are particularly rewarding, containing Pokémon like Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Completing event-themed Field Research will also grant encounters with these Pokémon, plus rewards such as Aerodactyl Mega Energy.

Spinning PokéStops during Adventure Week yields double XP, with a massive 5x XP bonus for your first daily spin. Additionally, hatching Eggs will also grant double the usual XP.

What Else Is New?

Adventure Week introduces new PokéStop Showcases and Collection Challenges, rewarding participants with Stardust, Pokémon encounters, and additional Aerodactyl Mega Energy. Five-star raids will feature powerful opponents like Moltres, Thundurus in its Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas.

Looking further ahead, Popplio is set to be the star of August's Community Day. A Classic Community Day and a special Pokémon World Championships event are also scheduled. Prepare for an action-packed week and download the game from the Google Play Store.
