Pokémon TCG Pocket's trading feature launch has been underwhelming, despite high player demand. This has led developers to announce a rework of the trading system.
As a temporary measure, all players will receive 1,000 Trade Tokens via the in-game Gifts menu. Trade Tokens were previously a necessary currency for card trading. This giveaway aims to appease players while the trading system is being overhauled.
The original trading system faced significant criticism. Many players pointed to restrictions, such as trading limitations based on card rarity and the requirement of in-game currency, as major flaws.

Reworking the Trading System
A simpler, more open trading system, or the absence of trading altogether, might have avoided the current controversy. While concerns about bots and exploitation are valid, stringent limitations likely wouldn't deter determined players.
The upcoming rework is crucial. A well-implemented digital trading system could establish Pokémon TCG Pocket as a viable alternative to the physical card game.
