If you've ever been curious about what a prospective Pope does to unwind, you're in for a surprise; according to a close family member, the recently elected Pope Leo XIV enjoys gaming and watching movies just like many of us.
As we reported earlier this week, Edward Berger's gripping papal thriller Conclave captivated audiences last year. Its "remarkably accurate" depiction of the papal selection process even led some real-life religious leaders, including participants in this week's actual conclave to choose a new Pope, to turn to the film for guidance. Among them was Robert Francis Prevost, who has now been elected as Pope Leo XIV.

Amid discussions about daily word games like Wordle and Words with Friends—which they play together every day—John asked if Robert had watched the movie Conclave for any tips.
"He had just finished watching the movie Conclave," John revealed. "So he knew how to behave. We talk about things like that—I just wanted to take his mind off the upcoming conclave and share a laugh about something."
Directed by Edward Berger, the BAFTA and Oscar-winning film Conclave delves into one of the world's most secretive and ancient events—the selection of a new Pope. The story follows Cardinal Lawrence (played by Ralph Fiennes), who is responsible for managing this clandestine process following the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. As the Catholic Church's most powerful leaders gather from around the world and are confined within the Vatican, Cardinal Lawrence uncovers a conspiracy and a secret that threatens to shake the very foundations of the Church.
