Following its closed beta, Rainbow Six Siege X is slated for a full release in June 2025 on consoles and PC. Ubisoft calls this the game's most significant content overhaul yet. The closed beta introduced Dual Front, a new 6v6 game mode.

Dual Front offers a larger-scale, more chaotic experience than existing modes. Larger maps demand strategic coordination between teammates to attack, defend, and complete objectives amidst enemy encounters. Siege X also promises map revamps, a UI overhaul, enhanced visuals, and a refined matchmaking system designed to improve the experience for new players.

Rainbow Six Siege X Trailer

Ubisoft launched a gameplay trailer on March 13, 2025, to coincide with the closed beta. The trailer showcases the fast-paced action of Dual Front mode on its new map, and hints at broader improvements to the game's visuals and gameplay, along with rewards for existing players and free-to-play access for newcomers.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta ran from March 13th to March 19th, with select Twitch partners streaming gameplay. Viewers had the chance to earn beta access codes during these streams. Linking your Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts was required to redeem codes. Noteworthy: you didn't need to own Rainbow Six Siege to participate.

Ubisoft provided comprehensive details about the closed beta on their website. Currently, there are no plans for additional beta testing, including an open beta. In the meantime, Rainbow Six Siege is poised for its most ambitious update yet, ten years after its initial launch, continuing Ubisoft's long-standing tradition of high-quality Tom Clancy adaptations.
