Marvel Rivals Season 1: Unlocking Recursive Destruction in Midtown

Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh set of challenges offering free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The first challenge in the "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" series requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object that then reappears in its original form. Not all objects qualify; identifying the correct targets is key.

Locating Destructible Objects

To find these objects, utilize Chrono Vision (accessed via the "B" key on PC and the right D-pad button on consoles). Only objects highlighted in red can trigger Recursive Destruction.

Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown

This challenge requires playing Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, ready to trigger Recursive Destruction.

Gameplay Strategy

During the match, prioritize destroying these two buildings. The chaotic nature of the game might obscure their reappearance, but multiple hits should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this challenge, you can move on to trying out Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Conclusion

This guide details how to trigger Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals' Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map. Remember to use Chrono Vision and target the red-highlighted buildings after the first checkpoint.
