Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, some side quests are easy to overlook, and missing them means you can't return to complete them later. One such side quest is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial not only for the quest itself but also for the opportunity to romance Rosa. Let's guide you through the steps to unlock and complete "Rosa's Book" side quest.

Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

To start this quest, you first need to complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov that you can use to rescue Hans. During your conversation, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a book for her from Maleshov. Make sure to inquire about which book she needs and promise to bring it back to her to officially begin the "Rosa's Book" quest.

This quest must be completed during "Taking French Leave." If you leave Maleshov with Hans without securing the book, you'll fail the quest and miss the chance to romance Rosa.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is held at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Sneak inside and find another set of stairs near a small kitchen. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave.

Next, quietly ascend the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is seated, facing the fireplace. You can sneak up behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. Rosa's book is also in this room, located to the right of the fireplace in a window alcove. Pick up the red book, and your objective will update to return it to Rosa.

While you're in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save you time later when you need two weapons for Hans and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the swords, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans is reluctant to use the passageway, you can advance your relationship with him by choosing the heart dialogue option, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Open the gate to initiate another cutscene, concluding the quest. After the cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
