Rovio's Sonic Rumble Opens Pre-Registration

Sonic Rumble, a 32-player battle royale game, is now available for pre-registration on Android, iOS, and PC. Developed by Rovio, the creators of Angry Birds, and under the Sega banner, this title marks a significant mobile entry for the iconic Sonic franchise.

Prepare for fast-paced, platforming battle royale action featuring a roster of beloved Sega characters. Expect to see Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles alongside supporting characters like Amy Rose and Rouge, as well as fan favorites such as Big the Cat and Metal Sonic. Even the villainous Dr. Eggman (or Ivo Robotnik) joins the fray!

Pre-registration rewards are up for grabs, with 5000 Rings awarded upon reaching the first milestone of 200,000 pre-registrations. While subsequent milestones and rewards remain undisclosed, the ultimate prize is a unique, movie-themed Sonic skin.

Speed and Thrills

While some may question Rovio's involvement, Sonic Rumble presents an opportunity for the studio to showcase its capabilities beyond Angry Birds. Although the battle royale genre isn't novel, the Fall Guys-inspired gameplay, combined with Sonic's signature speed and challenging levels, creates a compelling and fitting adaptation.
