Ryan Reynolds has cast doubt on the chances of Deadpool joining either the Avengers or the X-Men, suggesting that such a move would signify the end of the character's unique journey. In a recent interview with Time, Reynolds stated, "If Deadpool becomes an Avenger or an X-Man, we're at the end. That's wish fulfillment, and you can't give him that." This statement comes in the wake of the massive success of Deadpool & Wolverine, where Deadpool's desire to join the Avengers was a central plot point.

Speculation had been rife that Marvel Studios might want to integrate the 'Merc with a Mouth' into the next big Avengers film, Avengers: Doomsday, set to release next year. However, Reynolds' comments suggest that a formal promotion to either the Avengers or the X-Men is not on the cards for Deadpool. Speculation about Oscar Isaac's potential appearance as Moon Knight in Avengers: Doomsday has also surfaced, fueled by his withdrawal from this month's Star Wars Celebration event due to scheduling changes. Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige confirmed that the Avengers livestream did not include the entire cast of Doomsday, hinting at more surprises to come.
