Pokémon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Fiery Ho-Oh Returns

Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokémon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025. This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of 2025, offering trainers another chance to catch this powerful Fire-type Pokémon.

This event builds upon the success of Shadow Raids, introduced in 2023, providing a unique way to acquire these powerful Pokémon variants. Following the popularity of past events like Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo, trainers can anticipate a thrilling encounter with Ho-Oh.

Event Details:

• Date & Time: Sunday, January 19th, 2025, 2 pm to 5 pm local time.
• Featured Pokémon: Shadow Ho-Oh with increased shiny encounter rates.
• Raid Passes: Spin Gyms to receive up to seven free Raid Passes (a $5 ticket boosts this to 15).
• Special Move: Teach your Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Charged Attack, Sacred Fire (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids/Gyms) using a Charged TM.

Boost Your Raid Day Experience:

Niantic is offering a $5 event ticket to enhance your gameplay. This ticket unlocks benefits including:

• Increased Raid Pass limit (up to 15).
• Higher chance of obtaining Rare Candy XL.
• 50% XP bonus.
• 2x Stardust from raid battles.

These ticket bonuses last until 10 pm local time on January 19th. An Ultra Ticket Box ($4.99) containing the event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass will also be available in the Pokémon GO in-app store.
