Gamescom 2024 Will Not Feature Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong's Absence from Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live

Geoff Keighley, producer of Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL) 2024, confirmed via Twitter (X) that the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will not be featured at the event. This announcement brought considerable disappointment to the game's dedicated fanbase.

Initial excitement surged when Keighley's initial ONL lineup included a "+ More" section, fueling speculation about unannounced titles and the possibility of a Silksong update – especially given the game's extended silence. However, Keighley later clarified on Twitter (X), stating definitively, "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL." He reassured fans that Team Cherry remains actively developing the game.

While Silksong won't be present, the Gamescom ONL 2024 still boasts an impressive lineup, including titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, and MARVEL Rivals.
