Skate., EA'S F2P Skate Sim, Announces Playtesting

Announced back in June 2020, with periodic updates keeping fans engaged, skate. is finally ready for its console playtest phase on PlayStation and Xbox. While a PC beta date remains unannounced, players can still register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by recent highlight reels. However, developer Full Circle actively encourages further registrations as development continues.

To participate in the beta, visit EA's official website, navigate to the skate. page, and sign up for the Skate Insider Playtesting program. Beyond early access to the game, Insiders will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025, marking a significant return to the franchise nearly a decade after Skate 3. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, offering a free-to-play, live-service experience set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam. Full Circle has described the game as an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as highlighted in a previous YouTube interview.
