This shift was announced alongside February 2025's PlayStation Plus monthly games. The blog post clarified that while PS4 games will become less frequent in the monthly offerings and Games Catalog, previously acquired titles remain accessible. Games Catalog PS4 titles will stay available until their scheduled removal from the catalog's monthly refresh.
Sony emphasized its commitment to enhancing the PlayStation Plus experience, including maintaining benefits like exclusive discounts, online multiplayer, and cloud saves. The company's focus on PS5 will result in a greater selection of new PS5 games added monthly.
