Shift Up is bringing the holiday spirit to Xion on December 17th. Celebrate with new Christmas-themed costumes, decorations, and a mini-game!

Xion Transforms for the Holidays – Featuring a New Mini-Game!

Xion is decked out in festive red, green, and white decorations! The Last Gulp and Eve's camp share the holiday cheer, complete with seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away").

A new mini-game awaits! Details are scarce, but shooting targets on a holiday drone promises special rewards.

Control Your Festive Fun: Enable or Disable Seasonal Content

The update introduces an option to toggle seasonal events (including the Nier:Automata DLC) on or off. Find it in the game's Settings under Gameplay -> Seasonal Event Content. Choose from:

• Auto: Automatically enables/disables based on the season.
• Disable: Deactivates seasonal content.
• Enable: Activates seasonal content.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.

A Mostly Positive Reception, But Some Concerns Remain

Following the December 16th announcement, the response has been largely positive, with many fans embracing "Christmas Eve." However, some players question the frequency of event updates, particularly given Stellar Blade's single-player nature and relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content has also drawn criticism. Many games with seasonal content offer multiplayer or replayability to extend the enjoyment of cosmetic items and rewards. Stellar Blade's shorter playtime necessitates restarting to fully appreciate the seasonal additions.
