Following the success of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Studios has hinted at a new game

Arrowhead Studios, fresh off the overwhelmingly positive reception to Helldivers 2 (released just a year ago), is developing a high-concept game. Creative director Johan Pilestedt took to social media, announcing the project and inviting fan input. Suggestions ranged widely, from a Smash TV remake to a Star Fox-inspired title. Pilestedt confirmed internal consideration of a Smash TV remake and mentioned exploring a Star Fox-esque concept within the "rail game" genre.

While details remain scarce, Arrowhead's community engagement is evident. The success of Helldivers 2, a standout title of 2024, sets a high benchmark for their next endeavor.

A recent update significantly boosted Helldivers 2's player count on PS5. The "Omens of Tyranny" expansion, shadow-dropped at the 2024 Game Awards, has been well-received. This update introduced the highly anticipated Illuminate enemy faction, a 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps, delighting players. With a rumored Killzone crossover also on the horizon, Helldivers 2 appears poised for continued success in 2025.
