NetherRealm and WB Games have exciting news for Mortal Kombat 1 fans: the official gameplay trailer for T-1000 has been released, and this iconic character will be joining the roster next Tuesday. T-1000 stands out with his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively dodge projectiles in a way that's sure to captivate players. If you enjoyed playing as Kabal in previous games, you'll find T-1000 intriguing, as he incorporates some of Kabal's signature weapons and moves, even though Kabal isn't part of Mortal Kombat 1.
The trailer is packed with nods to the legendary film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Fans will spot the recreation of the iconic scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture famously banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike conduct. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he's seen John Connor, further bridging the game with the film's universe.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be added to the game. In a striking Fatality, the liquid metal Terminator showcases his versatility by changing his appearance and replacing his victim, reflecting the efficiency of the machine's mission.
WB Games did not make any further announcements. However, rumors are circulating that this might be the final wave of new content for Mortal Kombat 1, with whispers of a new game announcement on the horizon. Yet, there's no official confirmation of these speculations at this time.
