Navigating the vast world of World of Warcraft is always more thrilling on a majestic mount, and one of the most coveted is the Stormcrow known as Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren. While not the first Raven mount to grace the game, Thrayir is uniquely named after the Siren Isle zone, introduced in the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion. This zone features a dynamic event called a Storm, which has multiple phases. To secure this stunning flying mount, players must embark on a quest during these stormy conditions and gather five distinct Runekeys across Siren Isle.
How to Get Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in World of Warcraft
The journey begins with the Whirling Runekey, which can be obtained by defeating the rare spawn enemy, Ksvir the Forgotten, located in the southernmost room of the Forgotten Vault. Visit the Vault during a Storm event, and Ksvir has a high chance of spawning and dropping the Whirling Runekey upon defeat.
Next, the Torrential Runekey requires collecting seven Torrential Fragments from enemies scattered around Siren Isle during a Storm phase. These fragments piece together to form the key.
The Thunderous Runekey is crafted from five Thunderous Fragments, which can be found in any chest across Siren Isle, regardless of whether the area is experiencing a Storm or not.
For the Cyclonic Runekey, players can try their luck by fishing anywhere on Siren Isle during a Storm phase, or they can defeat Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire for a chance at this key.
The Turbulent Runekey is assembled from three Turbulent Fragments found in specific locations near Kul Tiran ghosts:
- Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
- Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole zone, where a ghost is cowering.
- Within the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where a ghost offers the fragment as a tribute.
Once all five Runekeys are in hand, head back to the Forgotten Vault on Siren Isle during the Seafury Tempest phase. Only this specific phase will allow you to trigger the ritual needed to use the keys. Enter the eastern room of the Vault, where you'll find Thrayir’s body on a platform surrounded by five runestones. Insert each Runekey into its corresponding slot, and you'll receive the quest “Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren.” Complete this quest, and Thrayir will be yours to ride through the skies of Azeroth.
