Tribe Nine Pre-Registration Opens for Danganronpa Creator's Game

Tribe Nine, the new mobile ARPG from Danganronpa creators Rui Komatsuzaki and Kazutaka Kodaka, is now accepting pre-registrations for Android and iOS! Pre-register to receive an exclusive in-game skin and other rewards.

Komatsuzaki's distinctive art style and Kodaka's design expertise, hallmarks of the popular PSP visual novel Danganronpa, are once again combined in this exciting new title. Set in a dystopian Neo-Tokyo of 20XX, Tribe Nine casts players as teenagers competing in the perilous Extreme Games, orchestrated by the enigmatic Zero.

Pre-registration rewards include a Parallel Cypher / Y skin for Koishi Kohinata. The game blends thrilling action with a retro aesthetic, featuring retro-style sprite exploration of the overworld and dynamic 3D battles. Players can customize their builds using equipment and the unique Tension Cards system.

Will Tribe Nine Hit a Home Run?

While Danganronpa might be considered less trendy now, its innovative blend of striking visuals and murder-mystery gameplay once set it apart from the typical visual novel. Whether Tribe Nine achieves similar success remains to be seen. Its unique aesthetic is certainly eye-catching, but the 3D turn-based battle genre is saturated, meaning it needs a compelling edge to stand out from the crowd.
